3 Aspirin Mask Recipes

Aspirin face masks are really efficient and  cheap. They can do incredible things to your skin, especially if you have acne problems. Before you start, make sure you’re not allergic to it, some people are.

Start by doing a patch test on a small piece of skin (e.g. behind the ear) to test your sensitivity to it. If you’re not, you can safely enjoy making and applying these home remedies for skin care mask recipes all by yourself.

1. The Basic Aspirin Mask

This is the most basic and popular aspirin mask. Afterward your skin will feel even, nice and soft, and very radiant

Ingredients: 5-6 uncoated aspirin, few drops of water.

Directions: Break the aspirin in halves and put them in a cup or small bowl. Add 4 drops of warm water and crush the aspirin with a spoon. If it doesn’t dissolve immediately add 1 drop of water at a time until you have a smooth white paste. Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear. Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Next, take it off by gently massaging it into your skin and washing it away with warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel Finally apply a moisturizer

2.Yogurt, Honey & Aspirin mask

When you have oily skin use yogurt as a base for your aspirin mask. It will sooth and is a natural astringent, so it will tighten your pores.

Ingredients: 7-8 uncoated aspirin, 3-4 tablespoons Plain unflavored Yogurt, with active cultures,1 tablespoon organic Honey.

Directions: Drop the aspirin in the yogurt and wait for them to dissolve. Slowly stir the honey through, and make sure all the aspirin are totally broken down. Mix until you have a paste that is thick enough that it will stay on your skin without it running off. Spread and massage the paste gently and equally with your fingertips or aface mask brush on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear. Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel Finally apply a moisturizer

3.Aloe Vera & Aspirin mask

If your skin is form dry to normal, both honey and aloe vera gel are recommended as a base for this aspirin face mask.

Ingredients: 7-8 uncoated aspirin, Aloe Vera gel, or organic Honey.

Directions: Break the aspirin in halves and put them in a small bowl. Add a little bit of aloe vera gel and slowly start to mash the aspirin with a teaspoon. Add some more aloe gel and mix until you have a smooth paste. Spread and massage the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck. Warning: keep the eye area clear! Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Then take it off by gently massaging it into your skin and washing it away with warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer

Warning!

Maybe you already know this but I’ll make sure you do. A lot of fruits contain citric acid. Lemon, lime and orange (juice) in specific. When you use them in a skin treatment always be careful with how much you use. Too much can cause acid burns. Also if you have sensitive skin be extra aware with these ingredients. Same goes for all essential oils, this is really powerful stuff; be very careful what and how much you use.
